Trick-or-treating in Flemington Borough runs from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Saturday, October 31, according to the borough's Halloween notice.

To keep the busiest blocks safe for kids on foot, several streets close to traffic from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Broad Street is closed between William Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, and Bonnell Street is closed at Park Avenue and at Shields Avenue. Residents inside the closed areas who will need to drive in or out should call the Flemington Police Department at 908-782-3434 before 5:00 PM. Drivers elsewhere in town are asked to slow down and watch for pedestrians.

The borough is also helping households on the most crowded streets keep up with demand. Flemington's Office of Emergency Management and its CERT volunteers have been giving out donated candy to residents who will hand it to trick-or-treaters. Requests go through the borough's online form, with pickup at Borough Hall, 38 Park Avenue, and delivery available.

Halloween night caps three nights of borough events. The Kids Costume Parade filled Court Street Park on Thursday evening with a DJ, trick-or-treating, a costume contest and a photo booth, and the Stangl Witch Walk takes over Stangl Road on Friday night.

Raritan Township had not posted trick-or-treat hours as of Thursday. Township residents can check with the township office at 908-806-6100.
