Once the candy is handed out, or instead of it, the wineries around Flemington have Halloween plans of their own this weekend.

Old York Cellars, 80 Old York Road, Ringoes, holds Paella and Scary Movie Night on Friday, October 30, with paella from 5:00 PM and a free movie at 7:00 PM. On Saturday, October 31, Trick or Tapas sets up six tapas and wine stations in the heated tent. It is for ages 21 and over and reservations are required. The winery's listing gives two different times for it, so confirm when you book at 908-284-9463. Old York's wine and candy pairing also runs through the weekend.

Beneduce Vineyards, 1 Jeremiah Lane, Pittstown, shows Hocus Pocus on the covered Crush Pad on Friday from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. On Saturday, After Dark: Halloween runs from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with The Grey Man Group and the La Tradizione Pasta Truck.

Unionville Vineyards, 9 Rocktown Road, Ringoes, hosts a Halloween Harvest Social on Saturday from noon to 5:00 PM with food, wine, fall sangria and music.

Closer to downtown, the Stangl Witch Walk on Friday night offers craft beer and a pop-up bar on Stangl Road, with alcohol for ages 21 and over. For anyone who wants a real scare, the Farm of Horrors at Schaefer Farms, 1051 County Route 523, closes its season on Saturday night. Tickets start at $36 for all four attractions, and it is not recommended for children under 13.
