The Home Depot

My favorite store!! Very knowledgeable, approachable and efficient staff!!! Clearly marked prices, mostly affordable, great long hours and do have public restrooms!! But Home Depot, please really from a loyal customer, could you place paper towels along side the rolls of plastic
We have spent a significant amount of money and time at your store over the years. We first shopped here while remodeling our home, and recently returned because we decided to remodel again. During our most recent visit, we had a very disappointing experience with a young Asian male employee working at customer service. His behavior toward customers was extremely unprofessional. He was openly snickering and laughing with his coworkers about a customer who was standing right in front of him. It was disrespectful, immature, and completely inappropriate for someone in a customer-facing role. This type of behavior is unacceptable in any customer service environment. It’s disappointing to see these are the type of people you hire, especially at a store we’ve supported for years. It’s unfortunate that loyal customers can be driven away because of the actions of employees who do not treat customers with basic respect. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so that future customers are treated with the courtesy and professionalism they deserve.
Very bad customer service. I went to the Bridgewater branch; they are super nice and friendly, but I had a bad experience twice with the customer service staff there. They are really rude. I’m not sure how they are employed in customer service, especially the girl with curly hair and the male agent. I asked him something, and he kept making fun of me, laughing, and saying, 'Oh, I don’t understand.' When I asked why he didn't understand, he said it was because of my accent, and he seemed to mock me. I asked for a manager and reported it, but they never did anything or apologized. These people at this branch are really bad and rude.
Be careful when buying concrete mix. I bought 16 bags and two of them must have gotten wet and were full of solid chunks when I opened them. Thankfully I didn't run out otherwise that would've been a costly mistake! When I went back to the store to return my unused bags and ask for a refund on the 2 damaged bags, the clerk said that I needed to bring them back including the contents to the store - which anyone who has worked with concrete knows, would've been quite messy. I asked for a manager (Lori) and she said to just bring the paper bags back. I live over 20 minutes away and offered to have my wife at home take a picture or go on facetime video to show the manager the bags and their contents in my garbage. She refused saying I needed to bring the bags back. A) I could just bring any of the used bags back - it doesn't prove damage, and B) this is over less than $9 worth of concrete mix. In the middle of me talking to her, she took a phone call and walked away. This is how Lori, your store operations manager treats your customers. I sent Home Depot a formal complaint and haven't heard back. I spend thousands every year at Home Depot as a ProX customer. Not anymore. I bought $100 worth of weed killer at Costco and $200 worth of lawn fertilizer at TSC this weekend.
Always try to be understanding of employees being overworked, etc. due to low staffing... but the customer service at this store is terrible. Always seems like no one wants to do anything besides exist. I come to this store all the time and brush it off but not today. The garden center had a tree that only had a tag on it identifying its species, not a barcode for a cashier to scan. Of course it was the last one. Brought it to the garden center check out and the cashier said she didn't know what to do because there was no barcode. I was fine with that, I told her I will just take it to customer service. Went to customer service, waited in line, and explained that I would like to buy the tree. I've worked retail customer service, I know you can look things up if there is no barcode. I was told they cannot sell us the tree because they don't know what it is. Just seemed like a lazy excuse and crappy customer service because I am sure a manager could have done something to make a sale. So after over 20 minutes waiting in line for nothing, the tree will probably just sit there and die like the rest of their left over trees outside. What a waste.
