My wife went in to return a sweater and the sales person (with dark curly hair) was extremely rude and short to her. I was standing nearby and almost said something but opted not to cause a scene. I understand that it’s right before Christmas and retail workers are tired but my wife is one the sweetest people in the world and they were not busy. She spends so much money and was a devoted customer there for years but not after today. She will take her money elsewhere.

I was thrilled to get my $20 coupons and have used them in the past for socks. Since my husband and I both have a card and got coupons, I took 2 pairs of socks and a pair of pants to the register. The salesperson curtly said that socks were excluded and did not inquire if I still wanted the pants. Because of my disappointment at the entire interaction, I decided to put the items back and depart the store. I do want to share that the store manager is quite lovely and has been most helpful in the past, but unfortunately she was not at the store today.

I drove 45 minutes to pick up an item that they didn't have at my local store. I asked for a gift receipt and they refused. The very first time in my life that I was denied a gift receipt anywhere. Seemed like they didn't want to be bothered to start their antiquated computer system and print one out. Very rude, unpleasant, and unprofessional store associates. My girlfriend shops exclusively at Talbots for all of her clothing, but she may not any longer.

Favorite store. The ladies are very helpful, especially compares to the Bridgewater store Great president day sales, but no returns on sale merchandise.
