We sat at the chefs counter, where you can see all the goings on. Matt makes you feel welcome and comfortable being up close to the action. I didn't realize the use a Woodfired grill until we were seated. It was amazing to watch all the workers so coordinated in small quarters. I had the chefs steak special, cooked to perfection. The garnish and sides well matched and gave a great presentation plated together. The steak tasted like no other I've had before, I was so enjoying the flavors between the action before us and the plate in front of me. Tender and juicy is best I can describe.

Excellent meal!!! The service was phenomenal and our waitress was very welcoming and accommodating. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! From the raw oysters to the tuna tartar appetizers all the way through dessert I was blown away by the food. My steak was expertly cooked and the crab cakes were to die for. Ive been searching for a GREAT restaurant since moving to the area and now ive finally found it. Thank goodness because finding a solid place like this in Hunterdon County is RARE!!! I would highly recommend Matt's for a date night or just a phenomenal meal!
